I have the attached Document, is it possible to have fixed dimensions and a measure for each one?
For example there is not direct link for the Desc "Unreported" and "Other" so I am having to do a text expression, not sure if I have explained myself very well but want the "Unreported" & "Other" to be part of the Chart Straight table?
in the book (see Chapter 10), you can find suggestions about building multiple QVD layers and transforming raw QVDs into Transformed QVDs.
Regarding the folder structure - my only advise is to get organized, but not over do. For example, one of my clients built such an elaborate folder structure, that you'd need to make up to 8 mini-choices any time you wanted to find a document or a file. Keep the number of folders and the depth of your folder structure at bay - just enough to keep things organized.
Regarding source control, I don't have much to add. I've seen people using SVN, but nothing so far worked well enough to make me want to implement it. The requirement to empty the document from the data prior to checking it in turns me off (eventually, you may lose things like "only one selected value" etc...). Personally, I prefer keeping manual backup versions of complete documents.
