Forcing Update to QVD on Server

I currently have a QlikView Desktop Application that pulls from a QVD that is generated from SQL server.  In the application I have enabled the user to update records to the SQL server by linking the records to a .asp page where they can update it from there.  I then created a script that is embedded in a button object in the application that will update the QVD and Application upon clicking it so the user can see the changes they made and how it affected the metrics.

We are now moving this application to the QlikView Server to be viewed on the Access Point and I was told that they can only schedule updates to the QVD on a time basis.  Is there a way to allow the user to force the Server to update the QVD?

You can set up a reload from Ajax using this extension from Stefan Walther.
