hey,
i need to create a line chart to forecast the amount of people that will potentially take part in a study. i currently have my line chart with the actual amount of people that have taken part to date plotted on the chart, and the dimension is Month-Year, anyone any advice as to how to create a forecast line to show how many people may take part in future months, depending on current trends?
any advice appreciated
You could plot the average but that would only be a straight line for the future. You could also find the change from the last month to the one before. Then make an expression that would apply that change for each future month.
Depends on how the forecast should be calculated . You can create one more expression and use What-if analysis to show how the increase of x% will affect the number
