You may have to clarify what you mean. Are you talking about maintaining QlikView as a piece of software as opposed to developing applications, for instance ?
Certainly in large organisations, some functions are split into different dedicated areas. So licence monitoring and allocation might b done by IT security, responsibility for apps running live may be given to IT Operations.
I got a job in one organization and they gave me job in support of qv server/publisher but I am interested only in qv development so I am very confuse about my job, that's why am asking if I will do only support in my organization so it will be come great opportunity after 2 years if I am doing only support job instead of development.
There is value in what you are doing. If you go on to do a development role later, this support role will give you a more rounded knowledge of QlikView as some developers rarely touch the support or Publisher side of QlikView.
