Graphs: Displaying dual axis' labels QV v8.5

Hi,

Am trying to display an axis name for the two vertical axis on the attached...

Is it possible? At the moment I can only display the dimension label on the x axis.

For the left Y axis, a text name would be required (not field name), as 2 differing expressions are used (Volume & Spend) ie "Spend/Volume"

For the right Y axis, a text name again would be preferable.

Would like to avoid overlaying text boxes, as am using the "Copy to clipboard" icon - unless anyone knows how to copy a text box as well as a graph at the same time?

Any tips, greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Rich

RIch,

you have a couple of better options than the Text Boxes:

1. You can use "Text in Chart" - this way, the texts are still part of the chart, and you can use backgrounds, etc...

2. You can add a brief label in the "Number" tab, under "Symbol" - this text will be displayed at the top of the Axis, but you'll have a little bit less control over its presentation. You might need to add Chart Title, to create more space for those texts...

cheers,

Hi Oleg,

Many thanks for the response!

Mangaged to get your 2nd suggestion working!

With regards to the "Text in Chart" option, where abouts can i see/find this? It maybe a case that its not available in v8.5, but unsure.

Please advise,

Kind regards,

Rich

"Text in Chart" settings are located in the "Presentation" tab. Once you add a new text, you'll need to press and hold CTRL-SHIFT in order to resize and reposition the new text within the chart.
