Handling error "Failed to open document"

I have a Qlikview App that lists all the apps on the server, if a user has access to that app it opens otherwise it shows the error "Failed to Open Document".

I would like to handle that exception for customizing the error in order to guide the user to take necessary steps to gain access to the document.

Qliktech says it is not possible as the error is originated from the server.

Any hope?

Cheers

Hello,

I'm having the same requirement.  I'm having a URL that opens a dashboard on a specific accesspoint.  The problem is that some users will click on a URL (because the URL is available somewhere ), but they don't have access to the dashboard behind the URL.  I wanted to show a user-friendly overlay or pop-up to explain to the user that he has to request access.  But, I don't know how or where I can 'intercept' the code to check if the user has access.  Do you have any idea how to do this?

Cheers, Geert
