Has anyone checked/used multiple display option found under chart expression

I'm looking for examples if anyone has used multiple display option that are found on chart expression. I'm particularly interested in Bar and Symbol. Please refer to screenshot for chart property I'm referring.

I don't see the interest to accumulate bar and symbol. Usually we mix line and symbol.

The first screen shot in above discussion is what I've put together using two charts layered on each other. So instead of using two charts I was trying to see if it will be possible to leverage Bar and Symbol. My data may support it hence the question.
