Has anyone experienced difficulties with the 'Number' tab of the Chart Properties dialogue box?

Hello,

I am attempting to make a modification to an expression within the 'Number' tab of the Chart Properties dialogue box, however the section I want to be able to use is to the right of the box area but for some strange reason QlikView (QV) doesn't allow me to go to this section of the box - as shown in the image below.  I have tried to increase the size of the box area, but QV won't allow me to do this.  Has anyone experienced similar problems? If so, is there a way to overcome this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Michael,

Not seen this kind of behavior in QlikView for a long time. What version (SR) are you using?

Hi Hampus,

SR6 is the version I am curently using.  QV has been set to update automatically.

Thanks and regards, Mike.

Hi Michael,

A feature in Windows 7 may cause problems for some programs in certain conditions.

Basically, if you have a high resolution screen at install time, Windows 7 will install a larger font set (125%) by default. If you then choose go back to the standard font size (100%), Windows will keep some of the large fonts even though everything else is adjusted for standard fonts, causing programs that use these fonts to break because the text will not always fit inside the GUI.

The registry can be edited to get the original, intended fonts back.

Before making any changes in the registry, be sure to have a back up.

  • Open the start menu and type regedit and then press Enter.
  • Locate the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
  • Find the value MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
  • Change from SSERIFF.FON to SSERIFE.FON
  • Find MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
  • Change from SERIFF.FON to SERIFE.FON
  • Finally find Courier 10,12,15
  • Change from COURF.FON to COURE.FON
  • Restart your system in order for the changes to take effect!

The exact font names may vary depending on local settings. Use these tables for reference:
