When you do a reload, and if you have options set, QVW will generate a logfile.
Has anyone made an application to analyze / monitor these logfiles?
So if you have couple of hunderd QVWs being reloaded exevry day, this application will give you detailes of which QVW was loaded, start itme, end time, how many records, and if there was an error what was the error text, and based on number of records being loaded, may be a trend chart showing growth of data loads. 🙂
Do you have something like this already built? Would you like to share your application with all here?
Thanks
QlikView Ops Monitor App delivered with QVS9. I have attached the 8.5 version.
Thanks Karl, but this one reads more the server logs etc. I am more interested in reading (and analyzing) the logfile generated by a QVW reload.
I have a directory (and bunch of subdirectories) where 100s of QVWs are stored which run on a scheduled (mostly daily) basis. All these QVWs are flagged to generate logfile at reload. I am interested in building an application which will read all the loga and will give me staticis of what's being loaded everyday.
Before I start building something I wanted to check is someone already has done some ground work for this application. 🙂
Thanks anyway. Your app is a pretty useful as well.
