Hash256 security?

Hi! Does Qlikview hash256 use SHA-2 function? SHA-2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I need to be quite sure that hashed data can not be reversed back to original. Original data is 5-12 characters long and if hashing with 256 bit it should be ok?
