Sir I want to try how to create an modal window in qlikview, as per the screenshot I attached.

It's like an hover window once you click a button, a translucent (i dont know what the name of it) window will pop up

You don't have model dialog boxes as a standard feature in QlikView. So to "emulate" it one creates an empty text box with transparancy set to something between 20% to 60% ... and layer the text box above the other sheet objects except the ones that constitute the "modal" sheet objects which has to be on a higher layer. The covering empty text box has to be turned on an off by using Conditional Show with a variable that can be toggeled. The toggling of the variable can be done by a button (or text box that acts as and looks like a button) by using a Action / Set Variable.
