Help..QlikView Free Edition wont reopen documents

Hi

I am using QlikView free edition and I am trying to create a new document.

I create the document add some elements and save it to my local hard drive.    If I close and reopen the document I receive the warning below.    Please help why is this happening this is a brand new document that is only on my computer, I understand the limitation of the free editions but I am not trying to open this document on any other computer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Hi,

Make sure you open the file with the same account that you used for instillation.

For Different account it may not work.

Hi Ashfaq

Thanks for the quick reply, I am using the same account.   I am not even logging off just merely closing the QlikView software and then reopening.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Hi

I am using QlikView 10 because we have a corporate deployed application that only works in this version so I cannot upgrade.  I have asked parent company to upgrade but they are too busy!!

OS is Win7 Pro 32bit.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Ian,

The only reason why QlikView will do this is because you are trying to open a document that was not developed (or recovered) by you.

Didn't someone maybe use the model after you last recovered it? If so then you will have to recover the model again which will result in the error message.

Hi Marius

This is definately not the case I have started a new document, add a few list boxes and saved locally.  I then closed QlikView to do something else and when I can back to it it will not open.

Do you think it is because I have a Theme setup, would this cause the problem?

Thanks
