Help in Trend analysis in bar chart

Hi Experts ,

     I am new qlikview learner and i want to know how the trend analysis is created in bar chart . i want to get 6 months data displayed by the selection of particular year and also if we select the month i should show the previous 6 months data ...So ,Please help me out in this discussion ,very urgent
