Help with complex section access

Hi everyone,

I am struggling to get   section access working correctly, I have some complex rules that i need it to use.

Section access is needed to reduce the data based on the following rules
1. User logs in and can see their own data plus data for users that directly reports to him/her.
2. Any user that is within the AREA 'EDU' will need to see ALL data (no reduction).
3. Any user that is within the AREA 'BI' will need to see all data for all users where the Course Name is 'Information Gov*'.

This means that someone in 'BI' will be able to see their own data, anyone that works for them AND ANYONE that has any course name 'Information Gov*' against them.

I have attached a QVW and some data XLSX's, is anyone able to take a look and advise?

I have disabled data reduction in the example attached so it can be opened.

Many thanks in advance

Thanks for the replies, I have got it working by concatenating the data back on itself and making the section access link the same as the BI link. So now the BI team can see their own data, their teams data and everyone else that has done a specific course. It has duplicated rows but using a distinct will resolve that.

Hi all,. I have a complex application with a complex security rules. ... I need a section access to restrict by SCOPE and AREA - Section Access is used to  clicker counter control the security of an application. ... Qlik Sense uses this information to reduce data to the appropriate scope when the user opens the application, that is, some of the data in the app is hidden from the user based on their identity.
