Hide Dimension

Hello,

I am using QV 11.

I have 2 dimensions. Dim 1 and Dim 2

I want to hide the 1st dimension Dim 1.

So I select the Conditional checkbox and enter 0.

This hides Dim 1

But then, it shows only Dim 2 data irrespective of data in Dim 1.

Currently, in my report it shows as in image1.png.

But i want it as per in image 2.png.

Please tell me how it can be done.

On the Style tab choose Indent Mode and also check Use Only First Dimension Label. On the Presentation tab select Subtotals on Top. Finally, resize the column width of Dim 1 to make it as small as possible. That is the best that can be done.

Hello Gysbert,

I did the settings you mentioned. I think I can use this solution.

Can we make some settings, so that user will not be able to increase the width of Dim 1?

Hello Gysbert,

I tried and found one more solution.

I did hide Dim 1 using macro.

and for Dim2 i passed an additional keyword (as txtheader) along with existing data

and in dimenions edited the Dim2 as

=if(Dim2 = 'txtheader', Dim1, Dim2)

and I got what I want.

Thanks for your solution too.

If required in future will use your solution.
