Hi QVers,
I'm development a pivot table and have the year on the columns as follows:
But we want to remove the "Year" as it creates an empty column. But in the Dimensions tab of Chart Properties, the option of "Label" check box is grey out.
Is there anyone knowing a way to hide/remove "Year"?
Or put it on top of 2011/2012/2014 like the following?
| Year |
| 2011| 2012| 2014|
Thanks very much!
Best Regards,
Crystal
Hi,
hide column is not possible in Pivot table ,Column hiding is possible in Straight table,
In straight table>Properties>Presentation>select the column below we have the option Hide Column select it
and apply
In Dimension tab give a space in the label of the Year diemsnsions.
Hope it helps.
Hi
This comes by Default I thing you cannot get rid of the same while exporting to excel.
In front end follow pradeep suggestion and make sure to reduce width of that column as much as you can.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we still get that little square on the header. If we cannot hide it, can we put it on the years to be another row on top?
Dear Crystal,
Do it when you are importing data source in Edit Script.
Edit Script
Edit Script > Tab "Data" > Table Files > Select Data Source > Next > Enable Transformation Step > Garbage > Select Year Column > Click on Button "Delete Marked" > Next > Finish.
Kind regards,

Hi Ishfaque,
Isn't this process removing the Year data from the begining? Then how can I put year into the pivot table it didn't exist in the data model? Thanks!
Crystal
