Hi,
I have a problem with pivot table. My data have customers, years and companies they worked. We want to view this data in pivot up table.customers will be my first column, in horizontall view , i get company of customer working for every year. Each customer can align to multiple companies in same year.
As all are dimensions, we are unable to show in table. For straight table, we added company in dimension and hidden it,then added same in expression. But pivot table doesn't have option of hiding dimension.
Can anyone help me on this?
Hi,
You can add an expression in your pivot table with 1. And after make white font and border cells. Not a wonderful workaround but works.
Hi Sai,
Can you share sample data or application for testing purpose.
Thanks
Hello,
You can always use the hide prefix variable setup.
int the script use the below:
set HidePrefix='_';
now add the underscore or the symbol that you use as a refix of the column that you want to hide.
Example FieldName as _FieldName
This column will disappear from the pivot table. if you provide a sample data I can send you a qvw file.
I hope this helps
Hi,
Have you tried with Dimension "Conditional enable" option?
you can find the option --> right click your Chart Properties-> Dimension-> Enable Conditional option.
step 1) Create variable vhide and define value as 0.
step 2) enable check box {conditional enable option & write expression like )=If(vhide = 0, 1, 0)
Hope this helps to you
Hey Jean,
I want the view in pivot up. In your case , 1 is my expression ,so qlikview is considering it as metric for customer, company dimensions.
Hi,
That's exactly what I do in one of my app but it works only in dev, when I deploy the document on the server and access the app through a browser it does not work!
Any clue why?
