Hierarchy and related data

Hi to all,

I have a sales structure of:

District Manager

Area Manager

Sales Reps

Area

i.e DM = Tom

AM = Barry, Frank, Alex

PS of Barry = Louis, Angel

PS of Frank = Kate, Ann

Area of Kate = 'LA 555', 'SF 444', 'SC 123'

I build my hierarchy that's work perfcetly but now i have to connect the Customers to the different Reps. The connection is done by the Area field. I defined the Area as CategoryID and I get no errors but I'm unable to see the customers related to my hierarchy and additional data. Is the problem related to the text type of the filed Area?
