How Qlikview internally deals with data

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Qlikview.

I have a question regarding how Qlikview internally treats the data which it has loaded into it.

I have loaded two table through the script from database, and created table boxes for those 2 tables. Suppose if I select one of the column in those 2 tables, how it filters the tables (my dashboard may have more tables), based on the schema it has loaded or the column names which I have given to load, or the actual column names in the database or based on the data type/value ?

Could you let me know your views ?

Thanks in advance.

QV filters data based on values.

If the 2 tables are associated, based on the value selected, both will be filtered.

If the 2 tables are not associated (data islands), only the table that contains the field and the value filtered will be filtered
