I have written a long loading script in Qlik Sense Server (with many tabs) and want to save this script into a file, as it is possible with QlikView Personal Desktop (File menu - save script to file...)
Is there a possibility to save the complete script with all ///$tab name of a tab definitions?

		Any news on the subject?
It looks like it's still not supported (??!!) by Qlik...

As you say, it's a shame that basic functionality from QlikView has not been bought in to the early releases of Sense. I'm sure it will turn up at some point though.

Qlik Support confirmed that developers are "working on it". Did not give me the release it will be included into, unfortunately.
The current workaround suggested: to use a #include statement for every section of the script and save pieces of the code into separate QVS files.... Kind of terrible workaround, but might work for some...

It doesn't seem to me like there would be much to work on. The browser nature of Sense makes it simpler (I would have thought) to just add a button that then downloads the load script to your machine.
Oh well. With so much other stuff to love about Sense I guess this is just a minor irritation.

I know, but Qlik Development team is very serious about the "development process" nowadays
And I agree, it's a great tool, but this is one of the issues that makes a production deployment/support a bit difficult....

Just adding this post to increase pressure

I don't know anyone who would NOT need a way to save his/her script into a file...

Has this capability been added to QS?

No, and it was not even mentioned as a new feature in upcoming "June 2017" (a.k.a "4.0") release.
But Rob Wunderlich (ROb Wunderlich) has created an extension that handles this functionality:
A Journey to My First Published Extension | Qlikview Cookbook
Works great so far! I am using it daily.
