Hi,
I have all my tables in container - so I choose the table by clicking on table name in the container object...but this object does not have Actions like button or text object - and I need to set a variable according to which table is currently chosen.
I need it for printing the pdf report (according to the chosen table)
This is how it looks like: the clickable table names are in the left panel..and I somehow need to set variable by clicking on the table name...I really have no idea how to do it...
Thank you so much
Nela
Hi,
You can reconstruct your app with Text objects, Show/Hide conditions and exctracted charts from container.
With native container there is no any solution.

There is not a solution unless you use a container because, as you say, there are no actions. You could use a Macro, look for it in the community.

Thank you..
That's too bad..but I obviously have no other option..
Now I try to use the tables (chart - pivot and straight table) from container as new objects - charts, but when I add new chart, use the object ID same as the original table, I can see just "Unknown charttype" filed with correct table name...
I do not understand, why there are no data, because when I click on properties of the new object, it has all dimensions and expressions set just like the original table...any idea why it works like this?
Why are you trying to keep both variants?
I mean why do you want to save container with old objects and create new objects even with the same object ID.
I add new chart, use the object ID same as the original table
Each object should have a unique ObjectID number due to internal QlikView logic.
Hope this helps

Andrei
