Not sure if I've understood your question properly, but since QV is an in-memory tool, it's pretty simple to create dynamic filters just by selecting in field values.

Create a simple data model (e.g. by inserting the test script from the INSERT menu in your script editor), reload and put some list boxes on the sheet. Select. There you go with your first dynamic filters (which will also filter your charts with dimensions and expressions accordingly).

What do you mean with static filter? Using something like a WHERE clause in the load script?

Rajesh:

I think you are comparing QlikView with other reporting tools where you have static or dynamic filters or prompts.

In QlikView filters are list boxes. You create listboxes on fields and you use these list boxes to filter your data.

Concepts like dynamic filters and static filters do not apply in QlikView as they are applied in other reporting tools.

As your underlying data change so does your list boxes or filters.

An example of list box will be country, which will look like

Country

USA

India

Japan

Hope this helps
