How do I build the iPhone app? Right now I have an app that is delivered in ZFC but it isn't near as cool as the iPhone app. How do you build one of the cool ones?
That's the best part about the new QlikView for iPhone... you don't have to do anything to it. Just download the app to your iPhone (link below), connect to your QlikView Server, and go. The one minor thing to be careful of is that you need to have network access to your QVS from your iPhone. That means either your QVS is available via the Internet, you connect VPN to your network, or you connect via wifi within your network.
Is there any doc available on QVS setup requirements (if any) for the iPhone? My user can get to the demo.qlik.com site but does not get a response from my local QVS. I believe we have the correct network connectivity because the iPhone can contact other (not qvp:// ) servers on the same network).
I'm having an issue connecting to my QV server via the iphone app. I entered all the connection settings, username and password, but once I click the server to connect, the app crashes going directly back to the home screen.
The same problem also occurs on a second Iphone so I know its not my device. I also tried rebooting and re-installing the app, always the same results though.
I have network access to the server via the iphone. I can connect to the demo server without any problems.
I'm seeing the same thing. I crash back to the home screen everytime I try to connect to our server. I can get to other servers on our network fine and I can use the demo app server in QlikView.
once one of you get it resolved - could someone please write a Wiki article about configuring the server for the iPhone app ? Maybe Matt could do it, as the developer of the application ?
