How do I make right click+ctrl/shift options available for objects?

Hi all,

I'm going through a QV training (version 11) but I don't know why I can't display the object properties when I right click on an object.

In the same way, I cannot copy object by pressing CTRL+drag and I can't resize them by pressing CTRL+SHIFT

That's not really annoying for properties as I can go to "sheet property > show objects" and select properties from there but for example at the moment I'd like to edit text in chart (in a gauge) and as I can't use CTRL_SHIFT I don't know how to do.

If I navigate to the "object" tab in the menu, it says "not available".

What should I do? Any ideas?

Thanks!

That's Web View. It's good for checking how your dashboard will look in the Ajax client, but for development it's, as you've noticed, bit of a pain. You can toggle Web View by clicking on View menu and the turn Web View on/off option.

Hi Aurelie,

I think you have imposed security on it. Go to sheet properties>Security and check all the boxes and apply to all sheets this will solve the problem

Thanks a lot for your answer Avinash R,

Unfortunately, even after doing this, it doesn't work.

For example, when I right click on an object, this is what I see :

Then if I click on properties, this is the window which opens :

Capture2.PNG.png

I'm pretty sure these ones are not the regular ones and I have no idea why I have this version of Windows. When I go to sheet properties > object list and select an object and then click on properties, I have the regular window.

This "weird" version unables totally CTRL / CTRL+ SHIFT etc shortcuts... (??? Strange)

Hi Aurelie Toto,

Go to Settings -->Sheet properties --> Security --> check the option -> Access Sheet object properties.
