How do a I copy a sheet with lots of containers into a new document?

I'm using QV 11.20

I unhide all objects usingDocument Properties, use Ctrl A to select all Objects, then Ctrl V to paste in the new document, but my containers are pasted empty.

Also i find if I try to copy an object from a container and paste in a new document, the paste function isn't there.

It seems i have to take everything out of the containers, copy them, paste them in the new document, move them back into the containers.

There must be an easier way!

This new proyect has more sheet?

you can create a copy of the QVW. and delete the sheet that you don´t need. then change the name of the qvw to your NEWname

I thinks is more easy.

Hope that helps you.

Thanks for that suggestion, unfortunately the new document has a lot of sheets too, also using containers.

Hi,

The container object and those objects in the container work independently. This mean, if you want to copy one of the object from one sheet to the other, you first need to remove the object from the container and then you can copy it and paste it in your new sheet.

Thanks

if you clone your container and then cut control + x and paste in a new sheet in same qvw docuemnt it is equal than the other container the problem is on copy or cut and paste in a new qvw document.

Maybe export the sheet structure to xml and paste it into the new document. Think it would go wrong, bit might work for you.
