How do you make a document autorefresh in the browser

I have document properties set on the server tab to

'server performs refresh automatically without client action'

and

'enable push from server'

and

'enable dynamic data update'

I also have the reload of the document set to continuous.

But when viewing the document in a web browser my data doesn't automatically refresh, I have to hit the refresh key in the browser to see new data.

What else do I need to do please?

Hi Dave,

Check the following:

Document:

  • Open Document Properties --> Tab Server
  • Check 'server performs refresh automatically without client action'
  • Check 'enable push from server'

Server:

  • QMC -> System --> Setup --> Server
  • Go to Tab: Documents and Check : Allow Only One Copy of Document in Memory

Client:

  • It only works using QV Client (Open in server) or using the IE plugin, not in Full Browser mode

Thanks for this.  I have done all of the above.  Please explain the 'using the IE Plugin' I assume we are using the full browser mode at present as it isn't giving me what I need.

Also, did you respond on the back of a request made at the London event or did you just respond anyway?

Cheers

Dave,

you'll need to use IE with plugin to get the autorefresh functionality. This is basically a small desktop version in a .ocx.

my respons was based on the question in the Community (so anyway)
