How do you stop a graph refreshing until selections made?

I currently have a graph which is fairly slow to refresh.

Is there a way of stopping it refreshing itself unless selections are made in the filters to reduce the output lines to less than 50?

In the general tab of the graph, put in a calculation condition, hit F1 in qlikview to get to know more about this.
