Hi, I have created a report in a QlikView document to enable the user to print it out when not on-line, the charts print out fine, but the tables do not. I have figured that this is due to too many rows in the tables. On the active document I see the top 10 lines, with a scroll bar to allow me to see the rest, when in the report, the scroll bar is not there and it tries to put potentially thousands of rows in a small space, looking like a black line.
Is there a way to limit the rows when printing the report only? I want to have all the rows available on the on-line document, but want to limit it just when printing, I also do not want to print pages and pages, so the multi-page function is not appropriate.
Thanks,
Richard
Try changing the Strech in the Item Settings (in report editor for the object) to Clip instead of stretch.
Hi Richard,
I hope while creating the report u have selected single paper page, you create the same report using multi paper page. Below the menu bar there is a icon for creating that, try using that so ur problem will be solved. See if this helps.
Happy to help.

Hi thanks for the reply. The report is created using single paper page, if I add multi paper page it prints the data over multiple pages, what I am wanting though is just the first few lines printed on a single page. I am thinking I might need to try an create a macro to amend the table settings, print the report, then amend them back. I was hoping that there would be an easier way to do this. Even having print screen for multiple pages would work.
Try changing the Strech in the Item Settings (in report editor for the object) to Clip instead of stretch.
Thanks that did the trick. I new there would be a setting, just could not find it.
