Hi Folks,
I am struggling to remove the by default wild search ** characters from the search window of expression tab in the straight table.
I tried the options of putting User Preferences search settings to "Use Normal Search" and also the option in Document Properties Default search mode to "Use Normal Search". But none of them working specifically to remove wild search characters from search box of expression column of straight table.
If any one can help on this I really appreciated.
Thank You
hmm.... don't know if there is a way off the top of my head.
Could you get by by adding the expression as a calculated dimension ? You can search the drop down in a dimension and its not wildcard.
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your quick response but when I am trying to do that i get an error of ""Error in Calculated Dimension"".
I am hopping there should some work around with this.
Thank You
Usually the "error in calculated dimension" is easy to fix by adding aggr().
Hi Michael,
I think I got that but do you have any other solution for this by keeping the expression as it is and can remove wild search from the search box.
Thank You
You may choose another search-option
Listbox - Properties - General - Advanced Search Options

Hi Peter,
I am dealing with straight table for this issue. and in straight table I do not see any option like that.
For other objects we can change that but I am specifically having issue with straight table expression column search box.
Thank You
Please check
Document Properties -> Presentation -> Default Search Mode

Hi Peter,
