How to calculate Rolling 3 months within QV script ?

Hi Friends,

I have been trying to calculate rolling 3 months but I directly want to calculate in the QV script in order to simplify.

On the other hand, I also want to meausre the calculated rolling 3 months value with a different value.

Any pointers, highly appreciated !

Thanks!

Hi Chanty,

Thanks for your help.

But I am looking for a way to calculate this in QlikView Script so that I can use them in other calculations as well.

Thanks!

I suggest you do the calculations in chart expressions and use the script to make those calculations as easy a possible. Creating an AsOf table in the script is a good idea. You can find an example here: Calculating rolling n-period totals, averages or other aggregations

Calculating everything in the script is not that easy and will probably make it very hard to reuse the values in other calculations. If you do the calculations in the script you get fixed values over a fixed set of dimensions. You won't be able to use any other dimensions then those you used to calculate the values.
