How to connect to Informix

Can someone please send information about connecting to an Informix database?  Screenshots of the Data Link Properties dialog box tabs and a sample connection string would be most appreciated.  Thank you!

you can create dsn for Informix

and then using odbc you can connect.

i have done in my one of project.

control panel-> administritive tool->Data source( ODBC)->

user dsn-> create dsn

and the use odbc and using dsn you can connect to informix data base

Thank you - I'm still trying to get login privs, but think your link to the connectionstrings site is great!  ODBC or OLE DB - I don't know - do you have a recommendation?

I see your question is still with status "Not Answered".

Did you get any help somewhere else to get your Informix connection going?

I can connect to  Informix from Excel without problems but when I attempt to access the tables from QlikView, it crashes. Any tips you can provide me will be very much appreciated.
