Hi

Our main data source is SAP.  You have to purchase the SAP Connector license separately from Qlikview and then download the application from Qlikviews main site.

To ensure you get up and running you will need to implement a couple of transports for your SAP/BW systems and well as set up a Qlikview account.  There is also some technical work to do, such as opening certain ports to allow you entry into SAP as well as creating the connection in Qlikview.

Once you have the systems talking to each other there are a couple of qvw's to run.  One reads and dumps out the data dictionary from your SAP system and the other holds this data dictionary information to enable you to interrogate your SAP system.  This also creates the scripting to extract your SAP tables etc.

If you go to the download area of Qlikview you will find the SAP Connector software and documentation that is worth a good read through as there are several steps and procedures to adhere to (the above is just an overview).

Here's the link you need;

Transports are not  necessary if you connect to BW (DSO or Infocube).

You just do a connection with the connector.
