Hi guys, I have a list many companies. I have their income statement. I need to create a dashboard where when I click on a certain company, I would ideally want to see a graph of the income in the current and past term. I have the current and past term values in 2 different tables. Right now I have loaded the info on only one company and when I create everything, I would add the other excel sheets with the other companies data.
what is the show stopper for you?
Ok. I know how to create the dashboard as in a chart or whatever but I don't know how to incorporate the "profit" tables into the dashboard chart. I guess line chart would be the best. I tried a few things with adding it into "expression" tab but with no luck.
Hi Dilyan
You can have Month, Year and Quarters as time filters which you can derive from date easily.
In your graph you can show the trend means this year vs last year etc and also show the Table for the same and show Percentage distribution in Pie charts.

I get that..but how do I incorporate the data from "this term" and "last term" into the dashboard. That's essentially my question... Also I need to create some financial rations. Do I create them in a text box ?
You can write two expressions like
Sum({<year ={$(=max(year))}>}Sales) For current Year
Sum({<year={$(=max(Year)-1)}>}Sales) For Previous year
Like that you can create expressions and used in line chart for trend.
Hi Dilyan,
i think in Expression you need to give AND condition for both years and company name
if(company ='x' and year=2016,sum(sales),
if(company ='Y' and year=2016,sum(sales))).....etc
Dear Dilyan,
I would recommended to you please share your sample App, Data and Questions. As the appropriate answer/solution can be given to you.
Kind regards,
Ishfaque Ahmed
Data is not in English,so it would be hard for you to understand it..
