How to create alerts for failed tasks in server

I have created a task for fetching the data from the data source.

How can I create an alert for data load fails??

Can anyone gives light on my question please?

itz a QV publisher task created in QVMC

First step: U need to configure the SMTP server in qmc

               QMC-->System-->Setup-->Mailserver

Second Step: Include the email ids who want to get alert

               QMC--> System-->Setup-->Distribution services-->QDS@Servername-->Alert E-Mail-->Include email id like below

Firstname.Secondname@Domainname.com;Firstname.Secondname@Domainname.com

After this need to restart the qds and qvs services.
