How to create hour dimension for different tables?

Hello all.

I’m developing  a dashboard in Qlikview and facing a few problems in creating an hour dimension.

I have to tables: Sales and Employees.

Both tables have a datetime field, but are completely different. I have no relation between the two tables.

The problem is that I have to create a table chart dimensioned by hour with two columns: Sales and HR Costs.

How can I create a unique dimension hour for my two tables? Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Give the datetime fields the same name and convert the datetime values if necessary to the same timestamp format.

You can try to combine the idea from these three blogs

1) The Master Time Table

2) Creating A Master Calendar

3) Canonical Date

Link both the Tables on Date Field

Rename Sales Date & HR Table date with common name so that both the table will be linked on Date.

Now You can create the Master Calender using this Date in which you can also create the Hour Field
