How to export data from list-box to the excel?

I have a list box. if I select something and export it to the excel I gives something black invalid data. I have attached the result. Can anyone explain what is wrong ?

Export from a listbox works fine for me using Q11 SR12. Can you post a sample that shows the problem?

Hi Pavithra,

pls check the List box data if it exceeds the value of Excel limit

Ex: for Excel 2003 ->approxmately 35000 records

if u have more than that records in your list box then u can find this type of error so pls check in another machine.

Hi,

• It should work fine , if you select one field it should appear in green all are grey.
• What Version of Office your using,How many records you are fetching?

• Check whether your inactive caption or active caption set to black color.
• In general tab hide excluded is ticked.

Hi,

Yes, if I select one, it appears in green but when I right click and send to excel it is not working at all.

I'm using Excel 2013. captions are not set to black color.

We are not hiding excluded in list box.

When I press send to excel, it is doing nothing. And there are not much rows (around 100-200)

I don't know why this is happening. Chart works fine while exporting it into excel.

Can you please help on this.

Hi - I know this is an old thread , however, did you find the solution to make it work?

I have the same problem, the list box contains multiple conditional expressions. If only 1 expression it works, I can export to Excel. When there are 2 or more, if I click the XL button, it would give me a huge X (failed to export). If the object is a straight table, it would work with the multiple conditional expressions. Only list box wouldn't work. Thank you

Nope, We still have the problem. We informed users not to exporting it.

Where do I see these options? I know that we export many other things to excel. Only multi valued listbox is not exported. Still to check this, where do I see these options?
