How to extract date,month and year from datefield

Hi everyone i want to extract date,month,year from a datefield(2\21\2010). Kindly let me know how to extract. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Its look very simple(if there is no unexpressed issue by you). You can use the inbuilt functions as

Year(DateField), Month(DateField), Date(DateFiled,'MM-DD-YYYY').

The date format you can change as you need.

Hi Sudhans,

You can look in to the reference manual there are so many functions apart from date,month,year. You can look in it and use effectively instead of doing everything on sql.
