How to filter bar chart properly even when 'Show All Values' has been checked?

Hi Community,

I have a bar chart and it is show all months, also the ones without data. However, I still would like to filter my bar chart - do you guys know any solution?

Example:

If I have a range of month July - Dec, where August has no data. When I select July-September, I still want to see August but the other months should be hidden.

Miguel, here is a Design Blog post to go along with Arthur's idea that goes into some further details on the Master Calendar concept, figured it might help a bit further.  If Arthur's post and app helped you get things working, be sure to give him credit by using the Accept as Solution button to do that.
