How to generate a unique key by using autonumber and hash()

i do have a small question when thinking of generating a unique key , but while doing this i am concerned about use of generating it and the amount of ram that my script might consume if i use Hash() can you people come up with some examples if you have time. sorry for posting this on weekend jagan‌hic‌JohnW‌@john i read few of your comments in community post but i am not clear abt it Marcus_Sommer‌johnDawson‌sli‌dgreenberg‌

You already mentioned Autonumber() and Hash() functions. Autonumber() will not consume much memory.

So what are your specific concerns?

If you don't know how to use Autonumber() or Hash() functions, have you already looked in the HELP, the reference manual and searched the forum for these functions?
