How to hide certain fields from appearing in Current Selections box

Hi,

Is there any way to hide certain fields from appearing in the Current Selections box? I have a number of fields which are default selections in order for my APP to work, however this is confusing users as they just want to see the selections they make.  I tried using various functions e.g. GetCurrentSelections() without any success.  Does anyone have any code/macro that could do this?

I am aware of an extension that allows you to do this however I am unable to load extensions at place of work!.  I appreciate any help.
