How to hide data in one field from certain users?

I have a particular field, where it's contents are sometimes sensitive to users, but not others. So when the document is hosted one the Qliview server I need the end user to only be able to see the contents of that field if they have access to it. Permissions would be dictated by the user's department.

For example, an end user would be able to view the data within their department, but when that user's department doesn't match, the sensitive field displays the text 'INFORMATION RESTRICTED'

I have no clue where to start with something like this, so if anyone has any ideas on how I could achieve this, it would be a great help!

Kind Regards

Alex

Thanks Yoann. I read through that, but unfortunately it doesn't quite explain what i need it to do.

It explains how to completely hide a field from a user. It also explains how to hide certain records.

But, it doesn't explain how to hide certain field on certain records from designated users.

Any idea how I would do this?

If you google Qlikview and Entitlement tables, that might help.

I would put the link here, but it won't get approved for hours.

I linked to it in this thread:
