How to identify a martix

Dear Friends,

Is there any way to identify matrix values.

Lets say we have matrix

           A

1  2   3   4

5 6 7   8

8 2 4 5

Can we identify by row number and column number??? lets say value 6 is rownumber 2 and Column number 2??
