How to lease Named and Document CALs on QMC ?

Hi,

I am a new QMC user and I'm not sure of the different process concerning Named and Document CALs leasing. I have some new users who have purchased Qlikview Licences and I don't want to make any mistake...

I am searching for explanations about what I am precisely supposed to do when a new user has purchased a Named or a Document licence (I mean in QMC, where should I register the user, in which tab, etc.) ?

I hope I made myself clear.

You can only lease a named cal

You can assign named cal, using the QlkView Management Console (QMC)  in

System --> Licenses --> click the Qlikview server on the left --> Client Access Licences (CALs) --> Assigned CAL

There is an Help, upper right

You can assign Document CAL in (without publisher)

Documents --> User documents --> on the left choose a .qvw --> on the right Document CALs

Just one more question...

If I assign a Named licence to a user, will he have access to all of the applications on the server ? Or in addition, should I manually give him access to the applications he needs ? (like a Document CAL ?)

Only the applications you give someone access to.

So in order to have access to an application you need...:

- to be authorized to use the app

- have a CAL
