We have a qvw file that will have ongoing development. At the moment we will manage the release as below.
Copy the production.qvw as uat.qvw and modify uat doc with new features. When we are ready to deploy the new release, we will copy the uat.qvw as production.qvw.
The problem is user may have some bookmarks and by doing so all bookmarks are lost. I do some search and seems there is no straight way to Export and them Import user bookmark.
Your help is appreciated.

Hi
Basically there will be three types of files in your qlikview folder other then .QVW
1> .pgo file consist the license details (session , document , user CAl)
2> >meta file contains document properties details (i.e , document category, distribution list information e.t.c)
3). Shared file contains the details of all the shared object created by the user for the respected report.
So bookmark information is stored in .shared file. Bookmarks will be available in server.
Make sure you replace file by same nam and you will retail all enduser bookmarks.

Thanks Ashfaq,
So when I copy the uat.qvw as production.qvw, I can retain the original bookmarks if I don't override the .shared file?
I'm not sure, but I believe you can do it with QV PowerTools:
