How to modify the 'above' function in the editor?

Hello,

This formula current takes the share percentage delta (difference) from quarter to quarter (Ie, 2017Q2 - 2017Q1):

$(vWtdSharePct)-above($(vWtdSharePct))

Can I modify it to instead look at a difference over a year's period?  Ie, so that it will instead calculate 2017Q2 - 2016Q2 for all data points?
