How to remove Category in QMC

Hi there,

I would like to remove Categories in Qlikview Management Console.

I found 2 discussions, which both said to edit the Category.xml file that is located at "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR".

But my Qlikview version is 11.00.11282.0, I couldn't find the Category.xml file.

The only part that I can reach till is

C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service

and I don't see there is anything call 'QVPR'.

Any helps is appreciated!

Hi Tze Wee Wong,

Please try to search for the Category.xml file within your C: drive or which ever path you used during installation of QlikView.

The ProgramData folder is generally hidden. Try going to run and put the path you mentioned.

"C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR"

Also don't forget to stop QlikView services and take a backup of the xml file before you make any changes. (Try it on your test environment before making any changes on Prod).
