Click on Content in the black bar on top of the page. Then select Authored to see the discussions you started or Participated to see the discussions you posted in.
I don't understand what you mean by 'raise a query'. By starting this discussion you already raised a query, right?

Select Inbox & activity option from your setting. Inbox can be have all your pas and present discussions (Uncheck, Unread Only option). From the activity, you can raise a query.
