How to set Gradient in the expression background color property

I have a bar chart with two dimensions and one expression. In the expression background property I have the following lines of code:

=If(Status= Completed, Red(),

   If(Status=Pending,Blue())

I am getting the required color on the bars but I need gradient on these bars. I am hearing that you cannot set gradient with code. Does anyone faced this issue and if so can you share the workaround.

Thanks

RD

Thirumala,

There is no option to set colour gradient in expression. But am not sure whether you are looking for this color gradient

Hi Thirumala,

Gradient means combination of two colors, are you looking for this?  It is not possible for Expresion background expressions.

If you are looking for Light Red to Dark red then check below link as shankarece mentioned
