How to show a variable's comment in the front end?

Hello,

I've moved many of my recurring expressions to variables and used the comment field of the variable to document the variable.

Is it possible to get this comments/ variable documentation to show up in the front end?

By hovering?

Something with an input box?

Any other ideas or is this not possible?

,KR Koen

Not that way afaik. You could put the expressions and comments in a csv or excel file and load them both as a table and create the variables (with comments) from that table. You can then use the table to show the expressions and comments to the user in the front end.

loading from file is the only option

Expression:

=DUAL(  $(=only({<ExpressionName = {1}>}Expression)) & chr(10) & only({<ExpressionName = {1}>}ExpressionComment)

,

$(=only({<ExpressionName = {1}>}Expression))

)
