Below I have transferred selection of a field called RUT from "PS" to "Alt2". It works fine.

How do i transfer "PS" to inherited state?

Did you try to select the empty state within Alternate State drop down?

From my discussion with swuehl‌ it seemed that inherited state is a state which is inherited from the state of your sheet and default state is just the basic state. So, for default we usually use $, but for inherited we don't use anything (blank)... so that's why I suggested to use the blank from the drop down for inherited state.

I have tested using both. blank and default we can use any and it gets applied to both inherited and default state list box. Thanks much.

I guess you sheet might be in default state.... the above will give different results if your sheet is in another alternate state
